Blond

"The Blonde can be seen as a kind of light version of the Belgian Strong Ale."

It's a relatively young Belgian beer style (around 100 years old) with a moderate malt character. The hop aroma and alcohol content are also fairly average (6-7.5% ABV). Some examples of this style have a slight sweetness, which comes from the addition of rock candy.
The color of a Blonde is light to golden (6-8 EBC), the carbonation level is usually relatively high, which makes this beer appear quite fizzy.
Belgian yeast is used in the fermentation process, giving the beer a slightly bready character. Pronounced ester notes are often noticeable, and subtle citrus notes are also common.
Blondes are generally not bitter, although there are representatives with IBUs up to 30.
Unlike other Belgian beer styles, such as Wit , Blonde is always made without additional spices.
