Ossett Brewery

Since 1998, we have been brewing exceptional beers – born from the roots of the North and shaped by the art of brewing. No frills, no fuss – just great beer, brewed to be shared, savored, and enjoyed.

Founded in 1998 by former Tetley brewer Bob Lawson, Ossett Brewery began as a small brewpub in a disused building at the rear of The Brewers on Healey Road, Ossett. As business flourished and Bob's son and current co-owner Jamie Lawson acquired the Ossett Brewery Pub site in 2003, the brewery expanded and moved next door to the old factory site at Kings Yard, where it remains today.

Following the expansion of tank capacity, a new packaging building and a complete overhaul of the existing brewhouse in 2017, the company now employs over 650 people in Ossett and SALT, brews over 50,000 casks per year, operates 32 of its own pubs and bars and distributes its products nationwide in pubs across the UK and in five major supermarkets.
