The world is facing major challenges. This affects every single one of us, us as a society, and us as a company. We are aware that online retail entails an increased carbon footprint. With every step and every bit of growth that is possible thanks to you as part of our amazing craft beer community, we also want to give something back. We have taken several measures to save as much CO2 as possible, offset our emissions , and even neutralize additional CO2 .
Shipping at Beer Belly Cologne is climate neutral! We are a partner of "Planet" and therefore automatically offset the CO2 emissions generated during the individual shipping of our packages.
But that's not all. For every order you place with Beer Belly Cologne, the Eden Reforestation Project plants a tree, and together we improve our carbon footprint. Learn more about the project here . Our Impact Report provides transparent updates on our progress.
We collect all our beers directly from regional breweries. Short and direct routes are good for the beer and the environment.
We also receive beer deliveries by mail. We reuse the cardboard boxes provided by the breweries to send you the beer. So don't be surprised if you receive a used, not new, box.
To save resources, especially for our shipping partners, we pack your order in the smallest possible packaging size.
Horizont Brewing is an innovative, independent craft brewery based in Budapest, Hungary. It is one of the first major names in craft beer brewing in Hungary and is particularly proud of the many medals its beers have won. Horizont Brewing was the first Central European brewery to win the Alltech Craft Beer Cup in Dublin. Furthermore, Horizont beers are highly rated on Untappd.
Horizont believes that brewing is an art form.
They also try to express this through the labels, not just through the beer in the bottles (or cans). That's why they collaborate with a local artist who designs the labels using the taste and character of the beer as inspiration.
Where is the beer brewed?
In 2016, the founders of Horizont found an abandoned factory building to house their brewery. Traditional Hungarian beer had been brewed on this site since the 1930s. Since Horizont opened, the area has become a hotspot for Hungarian craft beer innovation, attracting several other breweries. Horizont's brewhouse is entirely Hungarian, from the kettles to the fermentation tanks, allowing them to easily accommodate specific brewing requirements. Horizont uses a reverse osmosis system, enabling them to create water profiles for their various beer styles. Their fully automated bottling line ensures long shelf life and very low oxygen uptake.
Together we can achieve more!
Horizont is constantly seeking international collaborations. These opportunities allow Horizont's brewers to learn from each other and further improve recipes and production. They have already had the honor of working with breweries such as Frontaal from the Netherlands, Totenhopfen from Luxembourg, and Strassenbrau from Germany.
Horizont is convinced that there is always a better beer to be made.
