Shipping at Beer Belly Cologne is climate neutral! We are a partner of "Planet" and therefore automatically offset the CO2 emissions generated during the individual shipping of our packages.

We collect all our beers directly from regional breweries. Short and direct routes are good for the beer and the environment.
We also receive beer deliveries by mail. We reuse the cardboard boxes provided by the breweries to send you the beer. So don't be surprised if you receive a used, not new, box.
To save resources, especially for our shipping partners, we pack your order in the smallest possible packaging size.
We are Olli and Ricky, the founders and the heart and soul of Sudden Death Brewing. We grew up on the Baltic Sea coast inTimmendorfer Strand, where ice hockey has a long tradition and has been a part of both our lives since childhood – Olli was even an active player once, and in winter he still headsfor the ice. Hockey is huge in the USA too – and so this passion has oftentaken us to the stadium of our favorite NHL team, the Boston Bruins, over the past few years. Being there live in the stadium – that's unbeatable for us.
… or almost unbeatable, because on these trips we (re)discovered another passion: beer.
Thus, one passion led us to another, and we combine both in our new brewery built in 2022.
Our name, Sudden Death Brewing, represents both our passions: ice hockey and brewing. In ice hockey, "sudden death" refers to the game-winning goal in overtime (similar to a "golden goal" in soccer) – one of the most exciting moments of all.
We are incredibly happy to finally have our brewery at the Gollan shipyard district in Lübeck after all these years of brewing on the side – a location that stands for culture and is on the verge of becoming one of Lübeck's trendiest event quarters – with a concert hall, coffee roaster, market hall, classic car enthusiasts, numerous cultural associations and event organizers, and of course us, currently Lübeck's largest brewery with its 20-hectare site. … Come and see for yourselves, it's unbelievable here!
Here we have been brewing beers since 2022 – not boring, but always exciting, unusual, passionate, unexpected, yet always drinkable – Rock'n'Roll in a glass (or in a can), indeed.
And here, we also serve pizzas to go with our beers – perfectly paired with them. Because pizza is always a good idea. And because pizza can be different. And because our amazing pizzaiolos are just as passionate as the brewers (#perfectteam) – you'll see. And taste, most importantly, taste. Because quality and creativity are always our top priorities.
