The world is facing major challenges. This affects every single one of us, us as a society, and us as a company. We are aware that online retail entails an increased carbon footprint. With every step and every bit of growth that is possible thanks to you as part of our amazing craft beer community, we also want to give something back. We have taken several measures to save as much CO2 as possible, offset our emissions , and even neutralize additional CO2 .
Shipping at Beer Belly Cologne is climate neutral! We are a partner of "Planet" and therefore automatically offset the CO2 emissions generated during the individual shipping of our packages.
But that's not all. For every order you place with Beer Belly Cologne, the Eden Reforestation Project plants a tree, and together we improve our carbon footprint. Learn more about the project here . Our Impact Report provides transparent updates on our progress.
We collect all our beers directly from regional breweries. Short and direct routes are good for the beer and the environment.
We also receive beer deliveries by mail. We reuse the cardboard boxes provided by the breweries to send you the beer. So don't be surprised if you receive a used, not new, box.
To save resources, especially for our shipping partners, we pack your order in the smallest possible packaging size.
Siren Craft Brew was founded in 2013 with a simple idea in mind: to make exciting, full-bodied and forward-thinking beers accessible to as many people as possible.
Our philosophy is to always brew the beer we want to make. This means that, regardless of cost, we use only the best ingredients and don't let anything leave the premises that doesn't meet our standards. It's an unconventional approach, but one that plays a central role in everything we do.
For our Breakfast Stout "Broken Dream," for example, we felt we needed to collaborate with a specialist in the field to use the right coffee, in the right quantity, and in the right way to achieve the desired flavor complexity. The cost of our coffee is more than many breweries spend on hops in a hoppy beer. But it's worth it... absolutely.
We believe beer is still greatly underrated in the UK. There's a beer for everyone, a whole range of aromas, flavors, colors, and textures to enjoy. Our aim is to take everyone on this journey of discovery.
The sound of a secret
We hope that the sirens will only be the beginning of your journey into beer.
Venture further and you'll find a barrel cellar brimming with secrets. Our love for barrels began with our very first brew – Maiden. Beyond that, we have a whole range of barrels named Odyssey, showcasing the art of blending.
In 2013, we launched the International Rainbow Project, where breweries from around the world collaborate to create forward-thinking beers conceptually inspired by the colors of the rainbow. Since then, we have also introduced Project Barista, which celebrates the amazing possibilities of combining coffee and beer.
In addition, there's a brewery program that includes more than 100 different beers for 2023, and you'll get an idea of all the hidden possibilities beneath the surface...
Why "Siren"?
The sirens of Greek mythology lured sailors with their magical song. Their voices intertwined to form a complex, multi-layered melody. At Siren Craft Brew, we work in a similar way, combining four ingredients that work together magically to create our beers.
The concept originated with founder Darron Anley, particularly his passion for the modern, flavorful beers that emerged around 2010. Despite his best efforts to resist, the call to start a brewery wouldn't let him go. He finally succumbed to the call in 2013, and Siren Craft Brew was born.
Next, he faced the challenge of elegantly telling our story on every single beer bottle we created. With the help of a talented illustrator, the story was brought to life. We brew beers that have a story to tell, and we want our artwork to be part of that journey. We don't use design to shout the loudest, but to captivate people with intrigue.
The famous siren "S" even has a subtle barb at the end - now you're hooked!
