The Fabulous Birdy Beer

Drink beer – protect birds.

The Fabulous Birdy Beer was founded in 2021 by Frank Urban in Stadthagen and stands for modern, handcrafted, regional craft beer; inspired by the
"Nano Brewery" scene in the USA.

Since 2016, we have traveled extensively in the USA and fallen in love with the craft beer culture. From Michigan to Maryland, Nevada and California, we have discovered countless incredibly good beer styles and want to capture this unique flavor in our own beers.

Our beers thrive on hop aroma and are therefore all properly dry-hopped. We use only the highest quality natural brewing malts from the Weyermann malt house in Bamberg and exclusive international hop varieties.

The beer is deliberately not pasteurized or filtered in order to preserve all natural ingredients and thus offer a particularly high-quality and original fresh beer.

Because comprehensive sustainability is important to us, we source our ingredients of the best quality available on the market. Furthermore, the labels on our reusable bottles are printed using climate-neutral processes and environmentally friendly inks.

In regional retail, we have established our own deposit system - with fairly and socially produced wooden crates made by people with disabilities from the workshop of the Paritätische Lebenshilfe (Parity Life Assistance).

Why the vulture "Birdy Beer"?

Yes, we have a bird. And we're helping to protect it!

We want to raise awareness for our native (and migratory) bird species. Therefore, each beer variety is named after a bird: "Fire Crest," "Starling," and "Mandarin Duck" are our first birdy ambassadors. More are in the works, of course. The list is long...

By the way:

Part of the proceeds benefits bird conservation projects. We work together with regional fruit growers and beekeepers to develop synergies for species conservation.
