The world is facing major challenges. This affects every single one of us, us as a society, and us as a company. We are aware that online retail entails an increased carbon footprint. With every step and every bit of growth that is possible thanks to you as part of our amazing craft beer community, we also want to give something back. We have taken several measures to save as much CO2 as possible, offset our emissions , and even neutralize additional CO2 .
Shipping at Beer Belly Cologne is climate neutral! We are a partner of "Planet" and therefore automatically offset the CO2 emissions generated during the individual shipping of our packages.
But that's not all. For every order you place with Beer Belly Cologne, the Eden Reforestation Project plants a tree, and together we improve our carbon footprint. Learn more about the project here . Our Impact Report provides transparent updates on our progress.
We collect all our beers directly from regional breweries. Short and direct routes are good for the beer and the environment.
We also receive beer deliveries by mail. We reuse the cardboard boxes provided by the breweries to send you the beer. So don't be surprised if you receive a used, not new, box.
To save resources, especially for our shipping partners, we pack your order in the smallest possible packaging size.
We share a 15-year passion for US craft beer. We were captivated by the styles and aromas, which were largely unknown in Europe at the time, but especially by the openness, risk-taking, and experimental spirit of the American brewers.
Everyone had a fascinating story to tell; only a few had chosen the traditional path that leads to a career in a German industry. Openness and a willingness to experiment are paramount there, as is being part of a local social community that gathers over a beer in the taproom.
THE PLAN
It originated in 2018 with the question: When, if not now?
Like many US brewers, we followed a fairly classic 'craft beer career path'. After a long time in the world of large international corporations and many global experiences, it was time for something new.
From homebrewing to gypsy brewing, from supplying family and friends with small batches of beer to taking the step into the professional beer world. At the end of 2018, the idea became a plan and then a project.
We have now made the leap and export our beers internationally to 16 different countries.
We are completely self-financed, have no investors, and believe in the success of independent brewers, manufacturers, and brands, with the support of our customers and distributors.
OUR GOAL
Our goal is to remain independent, to brew handcrafted perfect beers with every batch, and to constantly experiment with new styles. We want to explore all possibilities while continually re-releasing our most popular beers.
We want to inspire as many people as possible with modern interpretations of beer and bring these special beer styles out of the shadow of traditional German beers and into the public eye.
This means: high product quality and honesty, which we both stand for. We play with witty names and rely on creative marketing with modern design."
