Dieses Jahr gehen wir neue Wege. Und der Weg führt in eine längere "Sommerpause" vom 25. Juni 2026 bis mindestens 3. August 2026! 

Wegen der zu erwartenden erhöhten Temperaturen und den damit - für das empfindliche Bier - verbundenen Komplikationen beim Versand, findet zwischen dem 25. Juni 2026 und mindestens 3. August 2026 kein Versand und keine Lieferung von Bestellungen statt. Der Checkout ist daher in dieser Zeit vorübergehend blockiert. Voraussichtlich ab dem 3. August 2026 kannst Du wie gewohnt Deine Bestellung aufgeben. 

Natürlich sind auch wieder eine Menge neue Craft Biere in der Pipeline, die beim Neustart dann auch direkt verfügbar sein werden.

Since taking over the family farm, our founder Joachim has been seriously considering in 2018 whether continuing pig farming would still be economically and ethically justifiable, or whether it was time to radically rethink the whole thing.

Thus began a long planning and experimentation phase, at the end of which stood a daring concept: A completely renewed agricultural operation with a small brewery at its center and a focus on sustainability, future viability and innovation.


What we have already achieved

Over the past three years, we have built up a small brewery as the foundation of this new business. For this, we grow as much of our own brewing barley as possible on our fields, or purchase what we cannot produce ourselves from regional suppliers.

Our water is treated on-site without additives and then used to brew beer, powered by solar energy. Our chickens happily devour the spent grain (essentially the coffee grounds of beer).

Because we plan to offer lemonade in addition to beer soon, we are already conducting several experiments in the vertical farm area for raw material production.

What we still have ahead of us

After years of struggle, we have finally received permission to convert part of our machine hall into a proper brewery. While sales are currently increasing steadily with the help of the "small" equipment, we will expand this hall into the brewery of our dreams over the next few years.

Soon you'll be able to drop by for tours, tastings, or simply to pick up a good case of beer. We're especially looking forward to hosting occasional small events there, such as Bavarian white sausage breakfasts or the soon-to-be legendary annual Köbi beer pong tournament.

In addition to the ingredients for lemonade, the Vertical Farm will also produce gourmet mushrooms and vegetables for catering at these events.
