Liberty Craft Brewery

We are LIBERTY – a craft brewery founded by the Ukrainian brewing family Marina and Boris Rozdobudko.

Our beer story began in 2006 in Ukraine, when we decided on our future specialty as brewers. 

After completing her master's degree at university, Maryna worked as an assistant to the head brewer at the Radomyshl brewery and then as a technological engineer at the Ukrpyvo Brewers' Union. Boris finished his doctorate and began working at the microbrewery while simultaneously teaching at the university.

In 2015, a true craft beer revolution took place in Ukraine, with numerous new breweries opening and interest in craft beer growing. One of the breweries where Boris worked as a brewmaster opened its doors to contract brewers, giving him the opportunity to exchange experiences and develop new beer recipes together with other Ukrainian brewers. 

At the same time, Borys wheat and dark beers receive high awards at the national Ukrainian beer competition.

After several years of gaining sufficient theoretical and practical experience in brewing, we wanted to establish our own contract brewery. Unfortunately, first the coronavirus crisis and then the Russian military invasion fundamentally changed our plans and our lives, but one thing remained unchanged – our love for beer!

We didn't want to put this off, so we mustered the courage and patience to found Liberty Craft Brewery. For our beer, we use the freshest hops from around the world, pure yeast cultures ordered directly from the producer in Denmark, and we seal our bottles with oxygen-absorbing caps. And we do all this so you can enjoy the highest quality beer. 

We understand that the path of contract brewing is not easy and we don't know where it will lead us, but we want to take the first step on this path with a glass of Liberty with you here in Germany.
