YAYLE

Sebastian Offelmann

I love good food and high-quality ingredients, but also technology and perfection. Above all, I love craft beer.

I first tasted home-brewed craft beer at a friend's house in Australia. That first sip sparked a passion. Since brewing my first batch in my own kitchen in 2015, I've been meticulously and wholeheartedly refining my craft.

When I'm not brewing, I plan and oversee the technical aspects of large events.

After training as a chef in Mönchengladbach, I moved to Frankfurt am Main to study at the Städelschule, the State Academy of Fine Arts. I brewed my first batch of beer during my studies, back in 2000. At the time, I didn't really understand the term "craft beer." Over the years, my initial interest developed into a genuine passion.

When I'm not brewing, I'm behind the camera.

Why YAYLE?

Our jobs brought us together in 2017, and our shared passion has driven us ever since. We met over an after-work beer and quickly discovered our common interest in good beer.

What started as a few brewing sessions quickly turned into a time-consuming hobby. Over the years, we came to realize that we were brewing really good beers.

“Yay! Ale!” was the joyful exclamation after we had once again completed a successful brew day. At the same time, the name YAYLE was chosen.

Because a good beer alone is not enough, we spent many nights working on it: concept, design, authorities, technical details had to be clarified.

We're incredibly excited about everything that lies ahead: many new beers, new contacts, but also all the challenges that lie ahead. We're looking forward to our first trade fair, our first craft beer festival, to present our latest brews and chat with you.

Cheers!

Sebastian and Ole
